Your Community, Unwrapped is a partnership between The New York Times and smaller local news outlets to emphasize that what happens close to home matters, sometimes more than what happens on a national or global scale.
Your Community, Unwrapped’s mission is to prioritize local media outlets to get you news that actually pertains to you.
Challenge: Over the past decades, more than 2,000 newspapers across the country have closed, leaving many communities without a source of information about their neighborhoods.
Concept: Create a campaign that promotes local news in America.
